Diary of a Madman

Diary of a Madman

Diary of a Madman
(Ozzy Osbourne, Randall Rhoads, Robert Daisley, Lee Kerslake)
Screaming at the window
Watch me die another day
Hopeless situation
Endless price I have to pay
Sanity now it's beyond me
There's no choice

Diary of a madman
Walk the line again today
Entries of confusion

Dear diary I'm here to stay
Manic depression befriends me
Hear his voice
Sanity now it's beyond me
There's no choice

A sickened mind and spirit
The mirror tells me lies
Could I mistake myself for someone
Who lives behind my eyes
Will he escape my soul
Or will he live in me
Is he tryin' to get out or tryin' to enter me

Voices in the darkness
Scream away my mental health
Can I ask a question
To help me save me from myself
Enemies fill up the pages
Are they me
Monday till Sunday in stages
Set me free

Diary of a Madman (Translated by KT)

Sonho de um Carnaval

Sonho de um Carnaval

Sonho de um Carnaval (Chico Buarque)
Carnaval, desengano
Deixei a dor em casa me esperando
E brinquei e gritei e fui vestido de rei
Quarta-feira sempre desce o pano

Carnaval, desengano
Essa morena me deixou sonhando
Mão na mão, pé no chão
E hoje nem lembra não
Quarta-feira sempre desce o pano

Era uma canção, um só cordão
E uma vontade
De tomar a mão
De cada irmão pela cidade

No carnaval, esperança
Que gente longe viva na lembrança
Que gente triste possa entrar na dança
Que gente grande saiba ser criança

Sonho de um Carnaval (Translated by KT)
Carnaval, a disillusion
Leaving all the grief at home, letting it continue to wait
Dressed as a king, I enjoyed in cheer
But on ash Wednesday comes down the curtains

Carnaval, a disillusion
That morena allowed me to live in my dreams
Hand in hand, feet on the ground
But today neither remember and is gone from memory
Because on ash Wednesday comes down the curtains

It was a song, one whole group of carnaval team
With the common willingness
To take the hands
Of each and every one throughout the city

Carnival, I really hope
That those so distant will continue to live in the memories
That those in grief and cheerless can join the round of dance
That those already grown up can always remain as a child

Meditação

Meditação

Meditação (Tom Jobim, Newton Mendonça)

Quem acreditou
No amor, no sorriso, na flor
Entao sonhou, sonhou...
E perdeu a paz
O amor, o sorriso e a flor
Se transformam depressa demais

Quem, no coraçao

Quem chorou, chorou
E tanto que seu pranto já secou

Quem depois voltou
Ao amor, ao sorriso e à flor
Então tudo encontrou
E a própria dor
Revelou o caminho do amor
E a tristeza acabou

Meditação (Translated by KT)
He who believed
In the love, in the smile, in the flower
Kept on dreaming and dreaming
Lost his peace
As the love, the smile and the flower
Transformed themselves ao rapidly away

He who in the heart
Sheltering the sadness to see averything shatter into pieces
And in his solitude
Searching for his path to follow
Now cannot believe that a happy day will ever visit agaian

He cried and cried
So much that all his tears dried up without a single drop of tear

He who then returned
To the love, the smile and the flower
Managed to piece everything back together again
For the sufferings and sorrows that he went through
Opened up the path towards love
Putting an end to the sadness

Teu sofrer
Se todo mundo sambasse
Seria tão fácil viver

Tem Mais Samba (translated by KT)
There is more samba in the meeting than in the waiting to meet
There is more samba in the evil than in the wound which the evil created
There is more samba in the port than in the sail capturing the wind
There is more samba in he who forgives than she who bids farewell without a word
There is more samba in the hands than in the eyes that see
There is more samba in the ground which we stand on than in the moon
There is more samba in the man who works day in day out
There is more samba in the rhythm that pours out from the street
There is more samba in the he whose heart cries wholeheartedly
There is more samba in the tears of those who mourn and weep for him
As a good samba never chooses where or when
With the heart without noticing
Unconsciously sambas

Let them all fade away
All your pain, all your suffering
If only the whole world is full of samba
We all would be so pleasant and peaceful

Sabiá

Sabiá

Sabiá (Tom Jobim/Chico Buarque)
Vou voltar

E algum amor talvez possa espantar
As noites que eu não queira
E anunciar o dia

Vou voltar

Sabiá (translated by KT)
I shall go back
All along I have known that I shall go back
To that vey place
Which had been there and will be there
Where still the songs can be heard
Of the sabiá

I shall go back
All along I have known that I shall go back
To lie under the shelter of a plam that is no longer there
To pick a flower that will not bloom
And some love perhaps may scare away
The night that I so don't want
To announce and welcome the coming new day

I shall go back
All along I have known that I shall go back
All was not in vain or useless
So many plans I made to deceive myself
The deceptions I had created in order to find myself
The road meant to lead to conclusion which made me lose myself
Everything which I created which was nothing but to forget myself
